Toby Schneider succumbed to influenza at the outbreak of WW2. As with the other recently dead, each night he rises from his grave and goes about Bremen in the hope of persuading the living not to waste their precious time. He hears of a way to travel back from death and sets out on the perilous journey through Excropolis. A powerful and poetic fable/allegory set during the Denazification era and the Nuremberg Trials.
