Soul of the Blade

“All of a sudden, he knew. He wasn’t dead, nor was he paralyzed. He was in the blade. He was the Bok’Tarong.” ~~~~ Humanity has been prey to the Entana for centuries, their thoughts and emotions fed upon by the spiritual parasites. Once taken, only death can save someone from the torment of the Entana’s feeding. And only the Taronese warriors and their enchanted sword, the Bok’Tarong, can give them that death. But the Bok’Tarong has been taken by the selfish assassin Aeo, and the sword has devoured his soul. He now exists within the blade, only able to experience the world through his new bearer Dragana. She would do anything to cast him out of the blade and restore its sanctity. But Aeo alone may hold the key to stopping the Entana once and for all … if Dragana can learn to work with the assassin who has cost her people so much. ~~~~ Enemies must become allies if they wish to save humanity. Author’s Note There’s honesty in magic. Fantasy gives us a way to view human nature with a clarity that can be hard to spot in other types of fiction. By exploring concepts like good versus evil or the effects of magic on society, we can understand something of ourselves and the human experience--with the added benefit of adventures and epic quests to save the world. Fantasy is the perfect way to blend depth, truth, and fun. Magic swords and exciting adventures alongside heartbreak, trust, love, and friendship. It’s escapism that touches upon the truth of reality. For me, there’s nothing better in the world.
