Jack Wright is an ordinary guy, living an almost painfully ordinary life. Although he's lived in the superhero metropolis of Signal City for the past six years, he's never even seen a real superhero close up...until one summer night, when a chance encounter on a rooftop leads to a date with one of the city's most powerful (and famous) Miracle Girl. Suddenly, Jack's ordinary life is turned completely upside down, as he gets caught up in the romance and intrigue of the superheroing weird supervillains, bizarre monsters, mad scientists, jealous ex-boyfriends, and sleazy superhero tabloids are just some of the dangers he's forced to face...and to make matters worse, a new villain, lurking somewhere in the shadows, is on the rise, and Signal City's heroes are oblivious to his scheme.
