The London Adventure has been out of print for many years: copies are difficult to find and very expensive. Three Impostors’ new edition is a companion volume to their version of Machen’s first autobiographical book, Far Off Things, published in 2013; and it is also of note that The London Adventure is extensively discussed by Iain Sinclair in Our Unknown Everywhere, also published by Three Impostors in 2013. The book is hard backed, with a dust jacket, and has a foreword by London writer Merlin Coverley, author of The Art of Wandering (2012), and Psychogeography (2006). The text is extensively annotated, indexed, and illustrated with six black and white photographs. Cream paper is used throughout; there are marbled endpapers; the cover is maroon silk with gold blocking; and there is a ribbon bookmark. Only 250 individually numbered copies have been produced, and the book has been printed in Wales by Y Lolfa of Talybont.
