Andy Kemper, an ICU nurse, is tasked with "pulling the plug" on patients who are beyond the pale. During his shifts, he must deal with vitriol from grieving families and the mental load of the job. Then, while preparing in the bathroom before performing his duties, he hears a disembodied voice from inside one of the stalls, singing Robert Johnson.
