It's the Fall of 1978, Fourteen-year-old Tam Dodson's brother and father have both just died and his mother is slowly but surely losing her mind. His little sister is a nuisance, his brother is somehow back as a ghost, there's a new boy on the block who Tam can't take his eyes off of, Mr. Wilson's dead body is still sitting in the living room down the street, and not to mention family members keep dying in his house. All Tam wants is a normal-esque life, but with his mother being a locally popular stripper who can't seem to kick her sex addiction and his sister nearly burning down her own school, Tam doesn't know if he'll even survive to see the Summer of 1979.
