Nickel Dime Town

Chicago private eye Nick Acropolis is juggling multiple cases. A widow is wondering if her husband was having an affair before he died. Another woman can't figure out why she keeps getting red light tickets in the mail. Was it her old boyfriend who took her car in the middle of the night and ran all those red lights while automatic cameras flashed. The ex-boyfriend is a Chicago cop, and so was the widow's late husband. Nick is an ex-cop himself. He used to make his living trying to get cops off the hook for various offenses. Now he's reformed. He usually doesn't do police involved cases. But he likes looking into the widow's eyes. Before he knows it, he's knee deep in the slimy ooze of the Chicago Police Department. The cops pull him out of bed in the middle of the night and tell him to stop investigating. Nick persists and the cops take their revenge.
