Part 2 of the duology, named PRATYUJJIVAN PARVA - A postulated Sci-Fi sequel to SWARGAROHAN PARVA, the 18th & final episode of Mahābhārata. As per ancient legends, Ganga originated from the planet of Amara (located near the galactic centre), before flowing through Bhūmi and Prithvi (Earth). Even though those three worlds were spatially separated from each other by thousands of light years, the divine river could flow through them because of Devayān - a network of interstellar portals between the habitable worlds that had been built by the ancients during the primaeval times.Consequent to a galactic catastrophe that rendered the Devayān dysfunctional many millennia ago, the human civilisation on Bhūmi had regressed to agrarian levels of subsistence. To make things worse, its struggling population now faced the dire consequences of ‘assimilation’ by a draconian empire from the underworlds. In a desperate attempt to save their dear ones, a few intrepid pilgrims make their way towards a mythical temple, located within the inaccessible sanctum of Mount Meru.Who is the enigmatic and monstrous entity that’s been guarding the ruins of Meru since ancient times? Would the legendary mountain of the gods ever reveal its archaic secrets? Does the pilgrim’s path of redemption pass through the distant planet of Earth? Will a prehistoric warrior resuscitated into life from deep stasis help them? Can they reopen the primordial gates of Devayān?
