Pepper and her adventurous friends have treasure on the mind until a bandit ambush waylays their plans and takes from them one of their dearest friends and talented members, Lazlo the mage. Without a strong magic user, the mixed species band is put in a dicey spot, especially since their original goal is a stone’s throw away. With no time to waste, vengeance wars with gold as the remaining members of the troop descend into a booby trapped hideout, eager for riches and a shot at the killers who will most assuredly be found within.
