In the two centuries of her existence so far, Aislinn MacAuliffe has been on a continual journey, both in matters of place as well as in self-discovery. Even so, little does she know that the most arduous journey and significant breakthroughs are still yet to come. Having lost hope after observing Giuliana and Vincenzo rekindle their love and begin a family of their own, Aislinn has conceded to the fact that— despite however intensely she may desire— perhaps she just is not be destined to be reunited with her soul mate Donovan, after all. Therefore, when her maker, Voljidaar, suddenly reappears to claim her, Aislinn hastily returns with him back to his ancient kingdom in Iceland. What she witnesses there, and then learns— about him, as well as herself— leaves her feeling appalled. And then she still has recurring visions of a dark-skinned cloaked man in a hostile mountainous terrain who has the answers she has sought. Furthermore, when she has these visions, for some inexplicable reason, she feels certain that a reunion with her love, Donovan, is in fact, imminent. Who is this enigmatic man with whom Aislinn feels fated to cross paths? Is he the one destined to finally provide her the remaining insight to who she is and where she came from? Aislinn realises that if she ever truly wants to find out, she will have no choice but to follow her visions to the one who holds the key. But how will she ever know how to find him?
