Something About 5B

Evil has to live someplace. Authors Notes - “Something About 5B” is a little horror short story I came up with one day reading the news. I read an article on the website for my hometown about a woman’s body being found at the bottom of a staircase. I tossed it around a little bit about all the possibilities of how this might happen. I started the staircase description and it just went off from there. It wasn’t planned or scripted out, it just began and I followed the thread. Completely off the cuff. I like it because of that and because I think it leaves a ton of questions out there as to why these things happen. And why they continue to happen. If you leave the door open for the presence of something evil, which seems to me to be inherent in the human condition, then there may not be any end at all.
