The Joy (and Pete) of Christmas

It's a simple research trip. What could possibly go wrong? Single father, Pete Dugan isn't even close to being ready for Christmas when his cousin asks him to go with her to meet her long-lost birth family. The brightest spot in the request was that his new girlfriend, Joy, would be there to research why the cousin had been abandoned as a baby. Joy - paralegal, law school student, and employee for a Private Investigation agency - lives for research and getting paid for a trip to Texas and Louisiana away from the Ohio winter sounds like a good use of her winter break. Almost right away, the little vacation turns into a nightmare.
