Hildifrith is a Winter Witch, controller of ice and snow for the Yule-tide town of Joyous Noel. One day the town mayor sends her a cuckoo clock...which contains an unwelcome gift, a Krampus,a demonic creature of the winter dark. With her newly found companion, the mysterious silver boy Argent, she must stop the Krampus and his allies Old Nikkor and the evil Mayor from unbinding her weather-spells and flooding the town with melting snow. A quirky YA novella that, like all good fantasies, can be enjoyed by adults as well as young people. Loosely based on traditional folklore of the Alpine regions of Europe.
