Fame is a vapor, popularity an accident, and riches takes wings. Only one thing endures and that is Character.Beautiful is deceitful but the greatest architecture is building character. A man’s character is his fate. Indeed people admire beauty but beauty with character will take you places beyond the ordinary. According to the book of Esther, Vashti was said to be a very beautiful woman but her character made her forfeit her throne to a virtuous woman called Esther.According to Proverbs 31:10- 3110. A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.11. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value.13. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.14. She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands.15. She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar.16. She gets up while it is still dark; she provides food for her family and portions for her servant girls.17. She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.18. She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks.19.She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night.20 She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy.21 When it snows, she has no fear for her household; for all of them are clothed in scarlet.22 She makes coverings for her bed; she is clothed in fine linen and purple.23 Her husband is respected at the city gate, where he takes his seat among the elders of the land.24 She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies the merchants with sashes.25 She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.A virtuous woman rules her home with wisdom and character. She is a good wife to her husband. Her husband knows she is trustworthy. She enriches his life; she is a comfort and an encouragement to him. The relationship we have with Christ should be our priority and our example. From our relationship with God our other relationships will be blessed. For the beginning of wisdom is the fear of God. The more we want to dwell the presence of God through prayer and reading the word of God, the more he builds us. Thoroughly continuous fellowship with God we gain favor before Him and with men. The word of God shapes our behavior and grooms us for the future. By bearing the fruits of the spirit we possess good character that opens great doors for us.Moreover, our ability to handle life’s challenges is a measure of our strength of Character. It is only through hard times that we build our character. Adversity is the greatest thing that can shape character. Most people prize integrity, strength, and individuality as the greatest defining features of anyone's character. These traits also tell us whether someone is a good person and worth including in our lives.Significantly, we each have a choice as to whether to develop our character during hard times. Some folks choose to become bitter and difficult due to hard times. Others choose to become kinder and more compassionate. So, realize that the difficult experiences that we endure do not dictate who we become. Rather, it is our response to those experiences that makes us who we are. Those hard times either lead us to become exceptional people, or they lead us to become unproductive .Joseph was sold by his brothers and humiliated by Potiphar and his household. All these experiences did not make him bitter but rather prepared him for greater heights.
