Discovering God in Everyday Life

My search for a relationship with God or the Divine started when I was six or seven years old. My childlike motivation was not as lofty as wanting to save my soul or give the Divine thanks for my existence. Instead, I was driven by something far more basic. I wanted to live a life with less fear or doubt and have someone close by whom I could trust. My youthful mind felt that God could help me with these needs, and thus began my long journey to create a close connection that I could use daily. It took me nearly seventy years to realize I had built such a relationship, although I never recognized it before because it differed vastly from what I expected. This book is about the many aspects of my adult relationship with God and how the Divine blesses me with my needs for comfort, growth, needed answers, and finding meaning in my existence.
