How to Create Fictional Characters

Of all the keys required to create a great fiction story, having solid characters is the most important. A writer can get everything else correct from a technical standpoint-—structure, plot, theme, and grammar-—but if readers do not care about a story's characters there is nothing to keep them from putting a book down and walking away. In this short book, I want to give you a framework that you can build upon and alter to suit your own style. I also wanted to provide a template writers can use again and again to create characters across different types of stories, and it's a tool that long-term will save a lot of time.
