This is a preview copy and UNEDITED>The year was 2052 and it was a technologically advanced and amazing world. But Jack had troubles. He was an easy target at school, was rejected by a prestigious school run by NASA and his dad slipped into a coma after a strange accident. Jack had some success though. He found it easy to control his dreams. He could go anywhere in the world and he often flew there--more unencumbered than a bird. Too bad he couldn't solve all his real life problems so easily. Since he felt he had no chance of commanding a starship in real life he'd just dream about it. Then the world Jack knew crumbled like the bricks of an ancient wall. The clouds turned red and the dark night never ended. The news was full of violent stories. Even NASA's starship was wrecked as it orbited Jupiter. The National Guard quarantined the city separating Jack from his parents. An archeologist had stumbled upon a powerful artifact called the Ammonite King. Armed with his new power the Archeologist raised an army of dark creatures. Tentacled things and winged beasts poured from the shadows and cracks and took hold of human bodies like parasites. They infested and pillaged. The invasion began and Jack was at the center of it all.
