You can get results to rival the best studio shooters with very little cost. Reflectors can even be homemade - so they cost almost nothing. Filters - for the most part physical "on camera" filters have dropped by the wayside due to the digital revolution. We still use filters, but now - with many of them - it is after the fact (in Photoshop) rather than in front of the lens. But, there ARE a few filters we still need on camera. The effects simply can't be easily done (or done at all) in Photoshop... The UV Filter - This one can literally save you thousands of dollars.
