Vinayak Damodar Savarkar was an Indian nationalist and Freedom fighter who has written lots of books in Marathi and Hindi languages related to events in Indian history. This book is a translation of his original work in Marathi titled "Saha Soneri Paane". It counters the then accepted view /british propaganda that India's history was a saga of continuous defeats by foreign powers, and reproduces some events from the glorious military history of India. This book also contains his commentaries on those events which were written with a view to encourage nationalistic feelings of pride and brotherhood among Indians.
