Alexander the Great Adapted from the play of Jean Racine

An English version of the play "Alexander the Great", written by Jean Racine in 1665. This version is loyal to he original without being always a slavish translation. This is a tragic neoclassical play, with six principle actors. It is set on one fictitious day, which encompasses the Battle of Hydaspes in 326 BC.
