Part mystery, part parody, Humbug on the Hudson is the first Harry Reese short story. In August 1900, Harry is sent upstate to Glens Falls, where he's to help investigate a major fire. But he has a second to make sure the investigation doesn't uncover any shady doings that "the right people" would prefer kept quiet.
