But, while fleeing London with Vincent for Paris and beyond to a new life, she learns of the financial collapse of Richard's business - and soon discovers that more than just his job is at stake. The short story was previously published in the print anthologies 'The Golden Ball and Other Stories', and 'Problem at Pollensa Bay and Other Stories'. It first appeared in 'Royal Magazine' in 1926.
