Being an ER doctor means having to deliver bad news to people all the time. But what happens when you’re the one that gets that call? One conversation with my mother led me back to Emerson Falls, Oregon, the small town I grew up in. But it also introduced me to Jessalyn Harris, one of the ER nurses with a feisty attitude, tiny stature, and bold personality.
