Koch collection, one of the finest gatherings of musical, literary, and historical manuscripts assembled in the past few decades. Selections range from seventeenth-century Copenhagen to early twentieth-century Helsinki. The collection is particularly rich in manuscripts by French, German, and Italian composers, including the score of Debussy's Pelleas et Melisande, the finest group of Verdi letters outside Italy, a recently discovered manuscript of Offenbach's Tales of Hoffman, and the musical archive of Sir William Walton, nearly entire.
