Fantom No. 4: Summer 2010: Photographic Quarterly
Cay Sophie Rabinowitz Fantom is an international quarterly publication about the uses and abuses of photography. In issue 4, the "Interview" section includes Francesco Zanot in conversation with Olivo Barbieri; Gianluigi Ricuperati with Stefano Graziani and Tom McDonough with Anne Collier; in "Eye to Eye," Takashi Homma meets Daido Moriyama. There are two portfolios of new works by Joachim Schmid (O Campo) and Sally Gall (Crawls). In "Blog Cabin," Alex Gartenfeld comments on Marco Anelli photograps of Marina Abramovic's recent MoMA performance; "Sample Size" is "Key Principles of Beauty" by Marc Joseph Berg. In "By Appointment Only" Francesco Zanot visits the collection of Lorenzo Mapelli; In "Stories" Yutaka Yamashita tells us about the Gunkan Apartments in words and pictures; in "Eye of the Beholder" the work of Hank Willis Thomas is introduced by Katie Rashid, his gallerist; while the "Reportage" is Peter Irmai's "American German."
