It’s not unusual to get a dog. Many people have a dog. This tale is not about that. There are many breeds (and non-specific breeds) of dog to choose from. This tale is not about that either. This tale is about the intended role that the dog in question was born to do and both of our parts in achieving that goal, or not, as the case may be. *** Making a choice to voluntarily raise a guide dog is an easy thing to do. Being that volunteer 24/7 for over a year of both mine and the dog’s life was, at times, quite the reverse. Anyone who has ever shared a part of their life with a dog, especially a puppy, may share that sentiment, but then it is not always tough; it is a great experience too. From the fun highs to the worrying lows, this memoir gives an insight into our journey and of course has plenty of cute photos of a certain adorable puppy.
