Lutie

Lutie is a mountain boy who DOES NOT WANT to go to school -- and who carries out his threats, then changes his mind. En route to school a storm keeps him active saving his friends, cat Meat, dog Gone, horse Hyde -- and the flood brings the school, bell, desk, stove and teacher right to Lutie's own apple orchard.
