House of Satan

In 1785, Vienna’s gaiety has been curbed by the Emperor who has closed all public amusements. The nobility, led by the elegant Count Anton von Arnheim, refuse to have their pleasures curtailed. The Count’s home is called the House of Satan, for the gambling, dancing and flirtation so beloved by the Viennese continues there undisturbed. And into this notorious mansion comes Eloise, his innocently beautiful ward. How can so unscrupulous a rake become the guardian of such a young and unworldly girl? And how can the spirited Eloise, thrilled to be introduced to the sophisticated pursuits of the Count, go on living in the House of Satan with the man who threatens to own her body and soul?
