The Dog Theft Mystery

Brighton 1924 Easter is just around the corner and Clara is set to help O'Harris with his Easter fete until she witnesses a dognapping down on the beach. Suddenly finding herself with two distraught children who have lost their dog to a thief, she sets out to make things right. She swiftly discovers that several other people in town have had dogs stolen and as she learns more she realises there is an organised dog snatching gang going around. But what do they want the dogs for? Meanwhile, Mrs Trelawney is hosting an art event for a sculptor called Toltz and is determined that Clara shall attend. The Toltz exhibition features a lot of valuable items and Mrs Trelawney is nervous about security. Despite finding Toltz particularly disagreeable, Clara agrees to help. Just when Clara seems to be making sense of it all, her brother Tommy is kidnapped. Worried the dognappers mean to hurt him, she sets out on a desperate search to find him before it is too late.
