Murder Is Its Own Reward (LIN)

The tiny man with the shifty eyes was named Jumbo Cousins. He wanted to revive the three-year-old New York kidnapping and murder of millionaire Alfred Grassman and his girl friend Lynda Peters. He also wanted the quarter-million-dollar reward. Mark Preston didn't like raking over old ashes, but they came suddenly back to life when Jumbo died in a hit-and-run accident. Everything became urgent, including Preston's desire to stay alive.
