Anna's Book

Anna, her domineering husband and their children move from Denmark to England in 1905. Anna expresses her sincerest beliefs and emotions about her detached existence in a diary as she desperately searches for her individuality. A mysterious murder and a concealed adoption spin a suspicious web around Anna's past and compel the listener to discover the truth. McCaddon masters the expression of Anna's spirit and full range of emotions throughout the stages of her life, and she interprets each of the other characters with equal conviction. She creates believable turn-of-the-century ambience and shifts adeptly to a modern-day presentation of Anna's granddaughter.
